yummeh - Nachos!

is there anything better than settling down to a movie with your honey and snacking on some nachos?!?!?! i would say NO!

these babies are made from organic nacho chips, homemade chili, homemade salsa, tons of cheese, chopped fresh tomatoes, chopped fresh avocado, sour cream and chopped green onion.

we like to toast the nachos in the oven with the cheese and chili on them. once the cheese has melted - top them with your favourite toppings. i normally make guacamole (avocado, a splash of lemon, sour cream, garlic) for our nachos, but this time just used chopped up avocado.

enjoy!

  1. Oh my GOD that looks so delicious Kymber ! I never thought about chili as a topping, but it sure makes sense. Seeing as we are watching a movie later tonight ... Cowboys and Aliens ... Alan's pick, we'll have to copy you and make these. If the movie is a dud, then we can eat two plates of Kymbers nachos. Oh, I am working on my bio to send your way.

Thanks for sharing and have a great week-end guys !
I just feel like dipping into your pic ... others will get an instant craving too !

  2. You make them just like we do. I love nachos every once in a while. My wife loves to top them with her favorite peach salsa. She's very picky when it comes to her peach salsa.

  3. Helga - we love nachos with home-made chili on them. whenever i make chili i make sure to make enough to save for nachos. i hope that you enjoyed the movie and the nachos.

i'll go check my email now. haven't been on the computer for a few days, nor checked my email. i'll send you one back this afternoon!

45er - does your wife make her own peach salsa? i'd love the recipe!

  4. Unfortunately, we don't. I make regular salsa. Well, it's actually fire-roasted jalapeno, serrano and pablano salsa. I've never tried to make peach. Maybe I will take a shot. We get ours from D.L. Jardines. We've tried a dozen or more others and nothing comes close. You can order online and they have a "7 J Ranch" line that is a little less expensive. BTW, everything I've had from them is outstanding. Www.jardinefoods.com

  5. Wow looks great! I make guacamole much different, take clove garlic and rub inside bowl. Then add two or three finely chopped jalapenos, add as little or as many seeds as you like heat. Add salt and lime juice, mash together and yum!
